Who loves cute little emojis? We all do! But, keep your out for those when you’re writing emails. Emojis are pretty much becoming a language of their own (🥓), but, you need to be super careful if you put one in the subject line or pre-header of an email going out to your subscribers. Emojis are a super fun way to grab your reader’s attention but they have about a 30% chance of not showing up properly for some email providers (by provider I mean Outlook, Gmail, yahoo, AOL, etc.) It’s hard to make a super cool statement when your carefully chosen shows up as a blank space, or even worse, as an empty box. I suggest that you open up a few email accounts for yourself using some different email providers or services. They are free so I consider them a excellent QA tool. Once your email is ready to go out, send a test send to yourself at each of your email addresses. This is a great way to check those pesky emojis, AND you can take a quick once-over the body of your email to see how it will look to your subscribers. Piece of !
